August Rush!!

Oh, how the month has flown and with so many changes and activities! Would really have it any other way?! First the big move in. It seems is like dejevu or reallity check! August...moving housing locations...8 or so months pregnant and still getting lectured about lifting boxes! Who else is going to be moving the gang in? I say the less boxes for the movers, the happier the smiles and the less the complaints. Plus, I kind of like moving things myseld and then I put them away as I go! The big, heavy things...you men with the muscles..GO FOR IT!
So we did it!!! We finally bought a home, we'll see what a great idea that is come December when I'm still on Maternity leave and no more PTO! But we are excited and hoepfuuly have planned ahead that it all works out. We have debated back and forth about this house and before we new it, we were drawn in. So typical of a women,I couldn't get how I wanted to decorate out of my mind,so it had to be the right home...Right?

First...came the painting party...scary at times but I think it turned out good and we only have a paint on the carpet in one area. For four rooms, not too bad. With only one small accident that ended with a dent in our New Dryer ("really it's ok"), moving in went well. We experimented with the "woolie" on one wall, Thanks to Darby and CeLes for the supplies, and We think it turned out great! It may look a little scary..and like we don't know what we are doing...and WE Don't.

Kobe was great to watch the movies in the baby's room. But times did get a little tiring. But here's a look at Kobe's new room. Can I say he has been the best kid when it comes to jumping in his bed for nap times and at night. It helps "mom" sleep better at night knowing he is across the house now and still knows where we are and adjusting well.

Kobe the little painter...Congradulations for the Hawkes being the first one's to stay over night...Sleep overs are always fun!!!

Funny thing left in the garage,a lawnmower. Apparently ours due to the fact one new it belong to or came from...BONUS...Fun toys for Kobe...good trade with the family (we really don't need a riding lawnmower, but we knew someone in the fam who did...)

Now it's the slowly decorating and buying things needed as the money slowly dwindles, but We are SOOO Excited to ahve a place we can call "OUR HOME"! Thanks everyone who helped out. We love you for it. We do have the BEST FAMILY EVER!

To end the August Rush...Good times at the Fair! Kobe totally loved the Rodeo and we enjoyed the pig show, food and friends. I love it when you can run into friends! It had been along time for some!!! Thanks to those I got to visit with, it was really nice to see you!!!!

Reunion Time!!!

After 3 weekends of camping in a row, we finally finished it off with the Jensen Reunion at Twin Lakes. It's always a highlight to go down to Lake Cleveland. Kobe loved the water, suprisingly it wasn't that cold were we jumped in. Kobe kept dipping in lower and lower and was in heaven when he found a stick he could throw and dogs he could watch splashing around.

Mom and Aunt Deanne worked really hard and had a sweet theme for the reunion "Out of This World". We went on a trip to the moon, created our own planets, and picked out our own star! We had a great time playing cards, etc., with cousins and camping trip wouldn't have complete with Hawkes' Monkey Bread...We hate to share :) We even only managed to loose Kobe once :) He loved exploring a little too much at times. He loved playing in the camper, and cried out "outside" the first thing when he woke up and the last thing when he went to bed.

He had a blast playing on Sheppenhalls' trailer. It was kind of nice to be able to visit with the open door and a place for Kobe to play with his "cars." Kobe always suprises us. We went for a four-wheeler ride and Kobe kept saying "more, More"
and on the second time around the campground he came back asleep. How someone ever falls asleep on a four-wheeler??? But too much fun = falling asleep, where ever and when ever he can. There wasn't much naps taking on this trp. Love you family!!! Thanks for all the fun and memories!!!

Proud To Be American

The Fourth of July was a day of fun. We started with going to Rupert Parade with the Jones. When the plane flew by in the begging, to signal the parade to start, Kobe said "more." He apparently has developed this love for airplanes this past week. Thanks to the handfuls of candies and great entertainment, Kobe sat the rest of the parade on Jason's lap...Between the munches of candy we heard "Cool", "What's that", and "WOOOOW" all the way to the end of the parade. Jason even actually enjoyed the parade this year because the weather actually made it tolerable.

After the parade we were off to PaPa and GG's house for a BBQ. After a much needed nap back at the Jones', we went to the Hawkes' partycentral for a water party with the cousins and BBQ dinner. I say...you can't have too many BBQ in one day :) Night time was growing near we loaded up to head to the Burley Boat Docks for Mom's flag cake and fireworks! Although...it was a consensus that Burley shouldn't waist money on the fireworks on the ground and spend that money for the bigger ones. It was sad to say that the fireworks only lasted 2 mins and somehow a "Finally" was some how a forgotten term like last year. But the time with family can't be beat! Maybe next year we can talk people into coming to the Twin Falls Fireworks!!! Since we do live there and have never even seen them. We hope you all had a Happy Fourth!

Not that I was meaning to post a million things but these are some things new happening in the fam...
#1 My sis, Melissa, finally had her little girl. Maelin Jolie. Cute as a button!
Which means my maternity wardrobe increased, Thanks Mel.
#2 Kobe tried corn on the cob for first time. Not that anyone else would care, but it was rather funny watching him try to eat it from the ends. I think he
licked more butter then ate bites.

#3 Tosha, Caleb, and Madison (Jason's sister) finally moved to Las Vegas for his schooling. It's a bummer that we won't be able to see them much, especially Madison being Kobe's only cousin on the Jones' side. But we wish them the best of luck in there new start. We'll have to keep in touch with picture and of course we'll have to go visit. They suggested waiting till it's cooler...ha ha
#4 WE are actually looking at houses. Our realtor has been very patient and showed us a more houses then I'm sure he wanted to. Boy I hate making these grown-up decisions. I would much rather make the decision whether I should watch "So you think you could dance" today or record it and go fishing and watch it tomorrow without commercials. Those are easy answers. It's just scary and permanent. I wish we could test houses by living in them for a week or two and then decide whether or not it would work out best. It's like a sale, you wonder if there's a better deal out there that you don't want to miss out on that "fits" better. Then there is reality... Money, otherwise known as the "budget"/lack of money, and my indecisiveness. I still wish we could move closer to family, but job wise it wouldn't work, although it would solve a lot of other stresses. Wishful thinking, but not happening...sorry Fam. Thanks mom for coming and looking!!!

So we made our second atempt to go fishing with our friends. I had fun sitting watching Jason take his turn fishing while Kobe sat on my lap and a had a blast throwing rocks into the water. Apparently this was a rare apportunity to go fishing at Silver Creek at this particular time. Jason thought it was cool being there during the "hatch," despite the fact that we didn't catch anything. His buddy did managed to catch 4 or 5 brown trout. I just had fun watching the fish jump to get my fly, only to forget to set the hook.

Jason still managed to walk out of the trail with a smile on his face, wet shorts, and squishy wet shoes (should have put on waders like he thought). Kobe is quite the explorer, which makes things all that more interesting/frustrating. If one doesn't have an eye on him 24/7 he would have been swimming with the fish and probably been in heaven loving it, that is until he found out it was cold. Who am I kidding, he's a Boy, the cold water wouldn't stop him.

Getting Together

It so nice when you get to see friends. Kobe got to see his girlfriend a couple of weekends back. It always great to see the "Woods." Thanks for being great friends to call when your in our parent's neighborhood. Usually it works out that we can to zoom the Burley when your in town. It's so fun to see how they have each grown! What a blue-eyed cutie she is!

Wii.....for Father's Day!!!

So Jason thought it would be fun to borrow his parent's "Wii" for Father's day and take it over to my parent's house! I have to say it was a huge hit and quite funny to watch my parents box each other. I missed that picture :( but got some others. Nothing quite captures the moment as being there and hearing what was said, but pictures bring back the giggles. Kobe even tried bowling, great form but of course he doesn't get the buttons. What a great Fathers's Day weekend!
