Picnic Time

We went with the "Sheppenhalls" for a picnic/Teig's birthday. Their great to have two birthday parties since we missed the one during the week.
We had fun roasting hotdogs, shish-ka-bobs (for poor Melissa :), marshmellows...I'm just excited for nicer weather...that is on the days we get it. Kobe was having a little too much fun and was running full speed down towards to picnic table, on the cement...Before I could grab him and of course he didn't listen to "slow down," he...yep, can you say faceplant? His poor little mouth was bleeding. Good thing little boys can jump back to being crazy.

Fishy Moments

We went with some friends of ours to Balanced Rock fishing. It was the first time Kobe actually went for a hike to fish, which made it tricky for mom and dad. We had to alternate taking turns fishing. Some areas were rocky, but Kobe was finally content on letting us fish in one area were there was a lot of reeds. He just sat there as happy as could be, that is...with his licorice. The day couldn't have been better...good company, cool weather, lots of little fish biting and time with the family!!!

Sister's Reunion

Once a year we get together. Everyother year is spent camping, then hotel hopping. Beggining photos are always important cause you never know what we might do.

This year we went to Idaho Falls. Events included scrapbooking, shoppping, Lillie's, meeting up with Aunt Tereasa and Cuz Lisa, dining, and Getting Our Hair Cut!!! We just pick a salon that looked "ok", so we thought, and made an appointment. Didn't turn out to shabby. Fun, crazy, spontaneous, so not us!!!Melissa was a little more daring with a color too. We just have fun no matter where or what we do, although We do miss the sisters that are unable to make it!!

Kobe's Going 2B A Big Brother

We decided it was time for another rascal to tug at our heart strings. We made these fun announcements for our family to suprise them of our news! So the date has changed in my favor...October 1st...which is better then the original 2 days before Kobe's Birthday. We are excited and can't wait to see how cute and fun the next one will be and what kind of big brother Kobe will become?!

Aunt Tiki and Uncle Jacob's wedding

Kobe having fun with Cousin Madison. They enjoy creating mischief together.

Jason's family have been getting married right and left. Kobe with his beautiful Aunt Tiki. New Uncle Jacob is missing in action. What a beautiful wedding in the Bountiful Temple. But boy was it a windy day. Some photos were hillarious with everyones' hair blowing out to the side, so needless to say not many pictures were taken outside.

Family Trip to The Coast

I was looking back through pictures over the summer. When Kobe was 10 months old we went on a trip up to Washington down along the coast and back up through Portland. It was so much fun. We would stay at a place until we were ready to move on and then book our next hotel room. We both had never been there. We made it there in good time, having to pull over for some breaks to give Kobe some "out of the car seat time" (facing backwards was no fun). We only had couple of plans: Go to a baseball game, hit the beach, stop at a lighthouse and go home when the funds we had saved up for were getting low. We usually aren't spontaneous people, so that made it fun!

We made it to a baseball game, which was one highlight for me. Kobe even made it to the seventh inning stretch. The people around us thought he was the best behaved and cute baby! (they had been worried when they saw us sit behind them) The only time he cried was when he was playing with a man behind us and the man suddenly screamed at the umpire for a call at home plate. Kobe busted out his lower lip and the man felt pretty bad, but we all got a giggle out of it.

We went to the Ocean, it was fun to see what Kobe thought about the sand and ocean waves. It was fun because the next thing we new Kobe was "going to town" eating the sand in his hands.
Our trip was cut short when Kobe woke up int the middle of the night with a temp of 103. We drove to the emergency room when I couldn't get the temp to stay down (did I mention Jason wasn't making fun of me at this point for packing everything: thermometer, etc)Later we found out he had an ear infection. Poor Kobe slept in my arms all night. Finally in the morning, the fever broke and medication was on board. So needless to say, we enjoyed our evening in the hotel room and ordered take-out from Olive garden that took us a half hour to find (When it was on the same block as our hotel-:) darn trees...good laughs though and we did get to drive over and see the Beautiful Portland Temple!! We ended up driving to Burley for the Fourth of July fireworks. Next day, family talked us into going camping, so we made a quick stop back in Twin Falls to pack up a tent, since we already had everything else and went camping for the weekend! all in all so fun...Glad we did it and so happy to be home.
